We take samples from any suspected ACMs in your property and test them in our accredited laboratory. Our sampling services include:

• Bulk sampling: Collecting a small amount of material and testing it for asbestos content
• Dust sampling: Collecting airborne particles and testing them for asbestos content

We will provide you with a detailed report on the results, including the asbestos content and location of any ACMs.

What is Asbestos?

Asbestos is a naturally-occurring mineral that was widely used in building materials in the UK until it was banned in 1999. Asbestos comes in different forms, including chrysotile, amosite, and crocidolite, and was used in various construction materials such as ceiling tiles, pipe insulation, floor tiles, and cement.

Why is Asbestos Dangerous?

Asbestos is dangerous when the fibres are released into the air and inhaled. Once they are inhaled, they can become lodged in the lungs, causing various health complications such as mesothelioma, lung cancer, and asbestosis. The effects of asbestos exposure can take years, if not decades, to manifest, making it difficult to detect early.
